After twenty-five years dedicated to teaching and photographic creation, there are many ideas that I am clear about and that I would have liked to have known in earlier stages of my career. Other concepts and practices have evolved over time, and rethinking them is essential to continue advancing. Based on my experience and work methodology—based on interrogative realism and the essential question—, you will enjoy inspirational ‘high-voltage’ tutorials, in which I will enhance your creativity and guide you in the exploration of your artistic voice, helping you to expand the limits of photographic practice.
Prepare and send a portfolio of 50 photographs (a single project or several). Prior to the joint face-to-face session, I will review the portfolio, providing you with written feedback. Based on the suggestions and indications in this report, you will send a second portfolio that I will view and analyze in the joint online session of one hour.
This personalized tutoring will offer you the keys to elevate your creative process sensitively and from different angles. Based on a questionnaire prior to the session, I will analyze all the information about your profile as an author. When the day of the tutoring arrives, prepare a good cup of coffee and throw all your questions or concerns about the construction of the photographic style and work at me, from the most specific to the most general or abstract. I will guide you and propose new ways of approaching the creation process from your unique personality and experience.
Conceptualizing, producing, and formalizing a photographic work in a coherent, innovative, and creative way is a complex and very polyhedral task. In this ‘face to face’ tutoring of 4 online sessions (2h/session), I will explain my methodology and production ‘tricks’, guiding you through the different stages of the development of a personal photographic project: from the ‘seed’ idea to the final output (photobook, expo, etc.), through conceptualization, narrative, language, editing, etc. The agenda of the sessions will be organized according to the progress of the project.
